In a safe, fun, and engaging environment, we partner with families in Urbana, Frederick County, and surrounding communities like Clarksburg to help the next generation grow in their understanding of Jesus. Through age-appropriate teaching, meaningful relationships, worship, and interactive experiences, we create space for kids and students to learn what it means to follow Jesus in a way that makes sense for where they are right now.
Our heart is not just childcare or programming—it’s discipleship. We want every child and student to know they are seen, loved, and invited into God’s bigger story, right here at Belonging Community Church.

We know that trusting someone with your children is a big decision, and we don’t take that lightly. Our heart is to partner with parents as we help the next generation discover that they belong, that their story matters, and that God is writing something beautiful with their lives. What time does Belonging Next Gen Meet?
Every Sunday at 4:30 p.m. there are ministries available for kids and students ages birth -5th grade. We also have a designated student section at our gatherings where students can experience Jesus together, eat dinner together and talk about the message along with a Next Gen pastor or leader.
Who will be caring for my kids and students?
Our Belonging Next Gen Ministry is led by our Next Gen Pastor, Jeff Weldon. All volunteers are background checked and trained to make your experience fun and easy.
Can I attend Belonging Next Gen with my kid or student?
Safety is a huge priority at Belonging Next Gen. The only adults allowed to attend these events regularly are volunteers who have a current background check. We do welcome a one day visit for parents to serve as a BCC Next Gen Partner (with a guest badge and shadowing a current team member). And, if you are interested in sharing the Belonging Next Gen experience with your student as a regular BCC Partner contact us to let us know!
Do you have to be a Christian to attend?
Absolutely not. We welcome everyone because we all have a place of belonging in God’s story. We unashamedly preach and teach about Jesus, but we try hard to create an environment where everyone can belong.
What can my kids and students expect at Belonging Next Gen.
Students will hear the message of Jesus and have fun doing it. They will have the opportunity to experience God-centered community by hanging out with friends and our team of Belonging CC Partners and Next Gen Pastor.
